The Ajax Ensemble is a Denver-based ensemble which showcases some of the finest chamber musicians in the country. Powered by Concertize, the Ajax Ensemble is available for performances and recordings anywhere and is able to gather talent and resources from around the world to fit the bill for performances of unparalleled quality and artistic commitment. Its members are founders of award-winning and internationally renowned chamber ensembles, professors at major universities and conservatories, and players of some of the world’s top orchestras. Members of the Ajax Ensemble can be regularly heard as part of the Colorado Symphony, sharing the stage as soloists with some of the world’s greatest orchestras, and at engagements such as Fever Labs’ Candlelight Concert Series in Denver, and at such festivals as the Marlboro, Pacific, and Aspen Music Festivals.
Praised for his “sensitive” playing by the Santa Barbara Independent, violinist Tom Yaron has performed in various constellations in North America, Europe, and Asia as concertmaster of the Moritzburg Festival Orchestra in Germany, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, and the Sarasota Festival Orchestra. He holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of California, Santa Barbara, a master’s degree from the Juilliard School and an Artist Diploma in String Quartet Studies from the University of Colorado. Yaron was a founding member of the Ajax Quartet which served as the graduate string quartet in residence at the University of Colorado, Boulder from 2017 to 2019. He performs with the Boulder Bach Festival, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, and Lincoln Center Stage on Holland America Line, the New World Symphony in Miami, and is a violinist for Fever Labs’ Candlelight concert series in Denver.
Arman Nasrinpay's passion for music quickly brought him into the spotlight as one of classical music’s upcoming young stars. Among his accolades, he was the recipient of top prizes at the prestigious Washington Performing Arts Society’s Feder Competition and has played for famous notable figures such as US Senator Timothy Kaine as early as the age of 13. He has performed at world class venues, including the Kennedy Center, Strathmore Hall, and Meyerhoff Symphony Hall alongside such violinists as Joshua Bell, Augustin Hadelich, Sarah Chang, and Rachel Barton Pine. He has also been heard on nationally syndicated radio stations such as Chicago's classical music station, WFMT. Mr. Nasrinpay holds a Master of Music degree from the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. An avid orchestral player, he has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony, the Chautauqua Symphony, the Dayton Philharmonic, and the New World Symphony.
Nao Kubota
Currently based in Los Angeles, violist Nao Kubota is an active chamber musician and teacher. A prize winner in numerous chamber music competitions, Nao has performed across the world, including Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has worked closely with many of today’s leading string quartets, such as the St. Lawrence, Juilliard, Pacifica, Borromeo, Cavani, and Danish String Quartets, and has played in masterclasses for notable musicians such as Midori Goto, Kim Kashkashian, Nobuko Imai, Thomas Reibl, and Ralph Kirshbaum. Nao’s festival appearances include the Aspen Music Festival, Juilliard String Quartet Seminar, St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar, Mendocino Music Festival, Caroga Lake Music Festival, Encore String Quartet Intensive, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and Sarasota Music Festival, among others. Nao is a graduate of the USC Thornton School of Music, where she received her Master of Music and Graduate Certificate in Viola Performance, studying with Karen Dreyfus. She received her Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from New England Conservatory, where she studied with Dimitri Murrath. Nao regularly performs with various ensembles in Los Angeles, such as Delirium Musicum, and is the violist of the award-winning Zelter String Quartet.
Allan Hon
Praised for his lush, professionally robust string sound, cellist Allan Hon enjoys a multi-faceted career, from concert recitalist to chamber and orchestral musician, and has performed for audiences in Asia, Europe, Canada, and North America. A prizewinner in many competitions, he is a strong advocate for chamber music and has performed with some of the leading artists in today’s society such as Nicholas McGegan, Josef Burgstaller, Yayoi Toda, and the Attacca String Quartet. Allan has performed with many different ensembles, including the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra in Los Angeles, Thornton Edge, The Second Movement Series, and Cantata Profana and also serves as a substitute cellist for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, and the Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra. Festival appearances have included the Lake George Music Festival, the St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar, the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, and the Aspen Music Festival and School, amongst others. He holds a Bachelors of Music degree from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where he studied with Desmond Hoebig, as well as a Master of Music and Master of Musical Arts degree from the Yale School of Music, where he studied with Aldo Parisot. He was also a part of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo, Japan during their 2015-2016 season. Allan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music where he studies with Andrew Shulman and is the current cellist of the award-winning Zelter String Quartet, which is based in Los Angeles.
